During Open House on Wednesday, we will distribute our first Progress Reports of the year—and celebrate three groups of students for their Achievement!

The groups are:
• Principal’s Scholars — Students earning All A’s
• Honor Roll — Students earning A’s and B’s only
• Honorable Mention — Students passing all classes with a 70 or better

All three groups will have their names posted in our Hall of Fame. Honor Roll students will also receive a certificate signed by Dr. Nichols, while Principal’s Scholars will receive a certificate and a special lunch with Dr. Nichols!

For Progress Report One, we are celebrating:
10 Principal’s Scholars
54 Honor Roll Students
193 Honorable Mention Students

We are so proud of our students’ commitment to raising the 2nd A in the BA²R—Achievement!

We look forward to seeing you at Open House on Wednesday from 5pm-6:30pm!

Dear Weaver Parents and Guardians,

We are excited for our upcoming PBIS Color Run on Friday, September 25! This event is a reward for students who have met our PBIS expectations during the month of September.

WHO CAN ATTEND?

To attend the PBIS Color Run, students must meet ALL of the following requirements:

* No Office Discipline Referrals
* No unexcused absences
* Fewer than 3 Dark Gray Referrals
* No Raising the BAR Days

Only students who meet all four requirements will be allowed to participate in the Color Run.

Students were informed of their eligibility before leaving the building today.

COLOR RUN ATTIRE

Students who are eligible to attend may dress down for the event. We encourage students to wear a white T-shirt with school-appropriate athleisure bottoms, such as basketball shorts or jogging pants.

Hair coverings, including bonnets and shower caps, are allowed for the event. The color powder used during the Color Run is washable and easily removable.

COLOR PACKS – $5 EACH

Students may purchase individual color packs for $5 each. Presales will begin Monday. Students who buy color packs during presales will receive a ticket to redeem their pack(s) at the event.

Color packs may also be sold on the field the day of the Color Run while supplies last. Day-of sales will depend on how many packs remain after presales.

CONCESSIONS

Concessions will also be available for students to purchase during the event. Students may bring additional money if they would like to purchase snacks or drinks.

We are looking forward to an exciting afternoon of fun as we celebrate our students for Raising their BA²R!

National GEAR UP Week will be September 21–25, 2026! This year’s theme, “Lighting the Way,” is all about helping our scholars explore possibilities, set goals, dream big, and prepare for a bright future.

What an honor it was to welcome Noel Candelaria, Vice President of the National Education Association (NEA), along with other leaders and members of the NEA and Georgia Association of Educators (G*E), to !

It was truly a privilege to connect and engage in meaningful conversations with like minded individuals who are advocating for students, educators, and public education on both the state and national levels. Opportunities like this remind us that the work we do locally is connected to a much larger mission; and that our voices have a place in national conversations.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share, learn, and build connections with leaders who are committed to moving education forward.

Data Day on !

Today, staff went beyond simply looking at numbers; we focused on becoming mindful of what our data is telling us and how we’re going to respond to it!

Together, we identified our Needs, Barriers, and Next Steps while using the S.O.A.R. strategy to recognize what’s working, where we can grow, and where we want to go next.
