Parents enjoyed lunch with their children while learning practical literacy and math strategies they can use at home to support learning beyond the classroom. We love creating opportunities for our families to partner with us in helping our Taylor Tigers grow and succeed! 🐯✨

Hold onto your bookmarks, because our Read-A-Thon scholars have officially turned into absolute page-turning machinery. We didn’t just pass the finish line—we bulldozed right through it!

The Scoreboard:

To celebrate wrapping up our Read-A-Thon finale AND kicking off the start of college football season, it’s time to team up and wear your favorite college gear!

Whether you’re repping the Valdosta State Blazers 🔥, buzzing in with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 🐝, barking loud with the University of Georgia Bulldogs 🐶, or bearing down with our local Mercer Bears 🐻—we want to see those team colors in full force!

📚 Read-A-Thon Update: August 31, 2026 📚

We are entering the final week of our Read-A-Thon, and our students are doing an amazing job!

✅ Minutes Read So Far: 2,822 minutes
✅ Donations Raised: $1,787

Our goal is $10,000, and we're challenging ourselves to reach $2,000 by tomorrow. Every donation and every minute read helps support our school and encourages a love of reading.

This Week's Reading Challenge:

Monday: Read a book you'd normally never choose.
Tuesday: Read a book set somewhere you've never visited.
Wednesday: Read a biography about an interesting person.
Thursday: Read a fairy tale, folktale, classic, or historical story.
Friday: Read any book you love!

🐯 That’s a Wrap on PBIS Kick-Off Week! 🐯

Yesterday, we wrapped up our “Lights, Camera, ROAR!” PBIS Kick-Off Week with a COLOR RUN! 🎨🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♂️

Our Color Run gave students a fun glimpse of what positive behavior, great choices, and strong leadership can earn throughout the school year! 💙💛

Students ran 4 colorful laps, with each lap representing one of our four ROAR expectations:

🐯 R – Be Respectful
🐯 O – Be On Task
🐯 A – Always Be Safe
🐯 R – Be Responsible

There were smiles, laughter, LOTS of running, and even more COLOR! 🌈

Kick-Off Week may be over, but the expectations continue all year long. We can’t wait to see our Taylor Tigers continue to ROAR! 💙💛🐯

Today, our Taylor Tigers traveled back in time for Decades Day while focusing on the final R in ROAR — Be Responsible! ✌🏾🕺🏾🪩

Being Responsible means making good choices, taking care of our belongings and our school, being prepared, and taking ownership of our actions.

No matter the decade, being responsible NEVER goes out of style! 😎✨

🎬🐯 Wrong Scene Wednesday brought the fun today! 🐯🎬

We continued our PBIS Kickoff Week by focusing on the A in ROAR — Always Safe! 💙💛

Our Taylor Tigers came dressed for the “wrong occasion” and definitely understood the assignment! 😂 From pajamas to formal wear and everything in between, our students had a blast while reviewing ways to make safe choices throughout the school day.

Today, we continued our PBIS Kickoff Week by focusing on the O in ROAR — On Task!

Our Taylor Tigers came dressed in their best tiger-inspired outfits while learning and reviewing what it looks like to stay On Task throughout the school day. 🎯📚

We love seeing our students show their Tiger Pride while practicing positive behaviors that help everyone succeed!
