The SpongeBob Musical presented by the Theatre Macon Academy runs THIS WEEKEND ONLY. Friday, June 21 at 6pm. Saturday, June 22 at 3pm and 6pm. Tickets on sale now at theatremacon.com/tickets 🎭🍍

The Theatre Macon Academy offers programs for Youth in the Middle Georgia area to explore their passion and curiosity for theatre arts. We offer 2 different one-week programs which run Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:15pm. The Registration Fee is $160 per attendee and includes an Academy T-shirt and 2 complimentary tickets to see the final performance. Register your student today!

Week 1 | June 10-14 | Ages 14-18
Attendees will sharpen their performance skills while developing new ones through a variety of techniques and classes. Attendees will take 3 classes per day focusing in 6 content areas over the course of the week. The week will culminate in a Cabaret performance on Friday, June 14 at 3:30pm where students will perform songs, scenes, and monologues. Attendees will gain a greater knowledge of plays and musicals while also building their audition portfolio. A sample schedule for the week may look like includes:
Day One: Exploring Styles in Musical Theatre Dance, Monologue & Scene Work
Day Two: Exploring Styles in Musical Theatre Dance, Monologue & Scene Work
Day Three: Building Musical Audition Repertoire, Costuming Basics
Day Four: Building Musical Audition Repertoire, Costuming Basics
Day Five: Cabaret Rehearsal, Cabaret

Week 2 | June 17-21 | Ages 8-13 
Attendees will put their production skills to use this week as they rehearse and perform a one-hour version of The SpongeBob Musical in just 5 days. The culminating performances will be open to the public and take place on Friday, June 21 at 7pm and Saturday at 3pm and 6pm. A sample schedule for the week may look like includes:
Day One: Auditions, Casting
Day Two: Music Rehearsals, Choreography Rehearsals
Day Three: Choreography Rehearsals, Staging Rehearsals
Day Four: Staging Rehearsals, First Run Through
Day Five: Dress Rehearsals, Tech Rehearsals, SpongeBob Performance
Days Six: SpongeBob Performances
