School visits for the 2025-2026 school year have come to an end, but our G*E Mobile Ag Classroom is still on the road!
Last week kicked off our summer schedule, and we'll be traveling across Georgia for library programs, community events, special activities, and more. We can't wait to continue sharing the story of Georgia agriculture with students, families, and communities all summer long!💚

Sharing a few photos from the 2026 GFB Spring Shootout!
What a great day on the course with more than 90 participants forming 23 teams in support of the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture. From friendly competition and great food to raffles, prizes, and even a flamethrower demonstration, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Most importantly, this event raised over $30,000 to help support our mission of preparing the next generation of Georgia farmers and leaders for success in agriculture.
Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, participants, donors, and supporters who make this event possible year after year. We are grateful for each of you and the role you play in helping us grow the future of Georgia agriculture.
Enjoy a few highlights from the day!

We are incredibly thankful for partners like who support our work throughout the year and continue investing in the future of agriculture in Georgia. 💚
Thanks to support through the Community Mission Fund, the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture was honored to receive a grant to help further support our Georgia Ag Experience Mobile Classroom initiative.
The Georgia Ag Experience brings agriculture directly to students across Georgia through hands-on learning experiences that connect students to agriculture, Georgia-grown commodities, and future careers in the industry.
Thank you, AgGeorgia Farm Credit, for believing in our mission and helping us continue this important work! 🌱🚜
We also wanted to take a moment to share this opportunity with others in our network and fellow nonprofits. Applications for the Community Mission Fund are currently open through June 1. If your organization is working to make a positive impact in your community, we encourage you to learn more and apply here: https://gfb.ag/AgGeorgiaMissionFund.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we were proud to spend part of the month learning alongside advocates from across Georgia who are passionate about supporting mental wellness in agriculture and rural communities. 🌱
Earlier this month, Whitney Sangster, Development Coordinator for the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture, alongside board member Dr. Deidre Mercer Martin, joined individuals representing agriculture, rural communities, veterans, higher education, mental health organizations, and other community partners to complete COMET Regional Community Trainer Workshop to become certified regional trainers.
COMET is a community-based program designed to help people feel more confident starting conversations when they are concerned about someone’s mental health. These conversations matter, especially in rural communities where support can often feel limited or harder to access.
We are thankful to help provide these trainings through our CareSource grant initiative and look forward to expanding these efforts across Georgia. 💚
