This past weekend, entrepreneurship students Zaria Brown, Joey Felker, and Kyla Watson attended the 31st annual SECRA conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. They participated in round-table discussions among case writers and professors of various specialties. The feedback that was provided will allow all case writers to revise and submit their cases for potential publication in the SECRA Journal.

Zaria Brown, Kyla Watson, and Amaya Evans were awarded “Best Student Case” at this year’s conference. Sigma Nu Tau faculty advisor and head of the entrepreneurship department, Dr. Marko Horn, also presented and received the “Best Case” award with co-authors Mary Dittman and Pam Turner.

Last week, we had the privilege of hearing from a triple bear, Dr. Trent Coggins. He shared with us his journey from real estate law to becoming an "accidental entrepreneur." He is now the owner of Recoil Trampoline Park in Valdosta, GA, and a business law professor at Valdosta State University.

A big thank you to Dr. Trent Coggins, Dr. Marko Horn, Professor Stephanie Howard, and everyone who attended that made this event happen.

We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
