Tomorrow is the first day of school! We are excited to welcome our MHS students back for a great school year!

Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Students will gather in the cafeteria until 7:55 a.m.

Bell Schedule:
1st Hour: 8:05–9:00 a.m.
2nd Hour: 9:04–10:00 a.m.
3rd Hour: 10:04–11:00 a.m.
4th Hour: 11:04 a.m.–12:25 p.m.

Lunch Shifts:
• First Lunch: 11:04–11:24 a.m.
• Second Lunch: 11:34–11:54 a.m.

5th Hour: 12:29–1:25 p.m.
6th Hour: 1:29–2:25 p.m.
7th Hour: 2:29–3:25 p.m.

Macon JAG Specialist Devin Shrum was awarded the JAG Missouri Central Region’s Outstanding New Specialist Award in June during the annual JAG Missouri State Training.

Under Mr. Shrum’s leadership, Macon High School JAG was also recognized as a JAG Nationals 6 of 6 Performance Outcomes Recipient, achieving all six national performance outcomes.

Additionally, both Macon Middle School JAG and Macon High School JAG received an Excellent Rating of 3.9 out of 4.0 on the JAG Missouri End-of-Year Report for the 2025–2026 school year.

These accomplishments reflect the hard work and dedication of our students, families, school staff, and the entirety of the Macon JAG program. Congratulations, Mr. Shrum.

Edit: Training has concluded at Macon County R-1 School District. A huge thank you for the support from members of the Macon, MO Police Department, Macon County, Missouri Sheriff's Office, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol for your assistance today.

Staff at Macon County R-1 School District will be participating in Active Intruder/Active Shooter training, and there will be law enforcement from local agencies on campus. There is no active emergency at this time.
