IB Biology juniors got back into the lab after a long weekend. They used bubbles to model the cell membrane as the class closed out their first Topic on cells. 🧡💙

Tonight the class of 2027 received their IB pins during the annual IB Pinning Ceremony. Ms. Ebony Lumas from the CHS IB Class of 2019 delivered an inspirational speech. 🧡💙

Dr. Matthew Harper, Professor of African and African American Studies at Mercer University, visited Mr. McCorkle’s IB History HL classes and delivered an inquiry-based lesson on slavery in Macon in the 1800s.

IB Students read primary sources and held rich discussions on the impact of slavery in early 19th century Macon. This was another wonderful collaboration between Central Fine Arts and International Baccalaureate High School and Mercer University. We are grateful to Dr. Harper for sharing his time and expertise with our IB students!
