Towering Your Success

At the October meeting of the Board of Education, the District recognized Macon Area Habitat for Humanity with the Partnership Impact Award. This organization not only provides homes for families throughout our city, but it has been a key partner for the District and Bibb CTAE through the YouthBuild program. This initiative supports young individuals ages 16 to 24 by providing them opportunities to earn a high school diploma or GED while gaining valuable hands-on construction skills.

National GEAR UP Week is September 22-26, and Bibb County School District is encouraging everyone to celebrate the kickoff on Monday, September 22, by wearing college gear! A part of our strategic plan and 4ME framework is Matched and Enrolled, so we encourage community members to share about their college and university experiences.

One local family has a new home today, thanks to a community partnership between the Bibb County School District, Habitat for Humanity, and the YouthBuild program. The YouthBuild program at SOAR Academy gives students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma while gaining hands-on training and work-based skills.
