The mission of Towering Your Success is to secure and maximize financial resources to foster innovation and educational change for public and private organizations that serve students in high-need communities. Founded in 2011, by Thelron Pleas, Ed.S., Towering Your Success is the premier educational consulting and grant development firm for K-12 and non-profit organizations in Central Georgia. Since its inception, Towering Your Success has secured and managed 25-million dollars of federal and state grants to increase student achievement and the quality of life in the Central Georgia region and beyond. The historic commitment of President Barack Obama’s signature Race to the Top initiative funded the inaugural work Towering Your Success, LLC. led alongside local educational agencies. As a for-profit educational consulting firm, Towering Your Success, LLC. is committed to the intricate work of educational reform to increase student achievement, equity, and social justice in America’s schools and communities.

At the October meeting of the Board of Education, the District recognized Macon Area Habitat for Humanity with the Partnership Impact Award. This organization not only provides homes for families throughout our city, but it has been a key partner for the District and Bibb CTAE through the YouthBuild program. This initiative supports young individuals ages 16 to 24 by providing them opportunities to earn a high school diploma or GED while gaining valuable hands-on construction skills.

National GEAR UP Week is September 22-26, and Bibb County School District is encouraging everyone to celebrate the kickoff on Monday, September 22, by wearing college gear! A part of our strategic plan and 4ME framework is Matched and Enrolled, so we encourage community members to share about their college and university experiences.
