The McDonough County Health Department will be in the Heritage Room at the University Union on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM for the annual flu shot clinic. This is for WIU Retirees and Active WIU Employees covered by WIU Health Insurance.

Please review the below guidelines for attendance:

👕Wear a shirt that allows the vaccine to be administered in the upper arm
🏢McDonough Co. Health Department will be administering the vaccines
🪪Must present valid WIU ID card and state-issued health insurance card
💉Administered as long as supplies last

Those who can't attend this clinic should contact the McDonough County Health Department to schedule your flu vaccine.

Each year WIU honors employees who passed away the year prior in a memorial tree planting ceremony. This year, the ceremony remembered William Clow, Michael Dailey, Steven Myers, Amanda Schulz, Sinta Seiber, and Patricia Young, who all passed away in 2025.
