Please consider supporting the 2019 archaeological field school at the Orendorf site directed and taught by Dr. Andrea Alveshere. I'm so pleased that work continues there, at the site where I had my first archaeological training.

One of our dear Orendorf and FAI-270 friends Chuck Bentz died on April 19 in North Dakota. He was a wonderful person and dedicated archaeologist. Pictures from Orendorf after rain in summer 1977, Lohmann site from Duane Esarey.
RIP Chuck. Condolences to Cora and your children.

Friday I presented on our Summer 2012 archaeological field school to the Department of Sociology & Anthropology. Despite the weather, it was fairly well attended, including both faculty and Soc grad students. The pizza incentive (provided by Dr. Gordon Chang) may have had something to do with it!
I am very proud of my students! It was wonderful to see them graduate on Saturday morning!
