Please welcome to the Horn staff, James Reynolds, a sophomore recreation, park and tourism administration major at WIU. James was recruited after he helped with a service day in the spring as a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. We are fortunate to find a student who will be in Macomb for the summer and who prefers to take care of the natural resources at Horn. There is always much work to be done, especially during the growing season. Thanks, James, for bringing your talents and work ethic to Horn Field Campus. Climb on!

Noah La Prad is a senior art major at Monmouth College and is back for his second summer at Horn. He has mastered facilitating the teams course and the climbing tower and has aspirations to conquer the crow's nest next. He especially enjoys helping groups better their communication and problem solving skills through team building. Noah's favorite element to facilitate is the spider's web. Thanks for your hard work, Noah, and climb on!

We are always fortunate to have returning staff each summer. Please help me welcome back Owen Benson, a junior at SIU-E, majoring in mechanical engineering. Owen has become an MVP at Horn as he begins his fourth summer season here. He has become a leader on the challenge course and is not afraid of clearing trails with his best friend, the w**d trimmer. Climb on, Owen, and thank you for your dedication!

Our annual visit from Teen Reach of Quincy is always a fantastic time! Some are new, some came last year. Watching them grow and learn about the outdoors and camp life is a treat. Thank you, Dennis Williams, for your dedication to these campers. See you next year! And climb on!

Congratulations to Jake Shoppa, a new RPTA graduate and a forever tree planter! He celebrated his accomplishment with his family and with Dr. Tom Green, at Horn. He also left his legacy at Horn with the gift of a crabapple tree he planted with Dr. Green. We are proud of you, Shoppa, and know you will continue to do great things to preserve and enhance our natural environment.

Recently, the high ropes course received a needed upgrade. Our good friend Kurt replaced the platforms enhancing their size and also replaced all the ropes with new ones. YOU, our friends and donors, helped us make this happen. It is a great refresh. Thank you! And climb on!

A few weeks ago, our staff had their end-of-the-year bonfire! They roasted s'mores and hot dogs and enjoyed each other's company. A well-deserved break for all the work they put in! Enjoy your summer and see you in the fall!
