As we close out this semester, we RHOcked WIU’s Dr. Kimberley McClure.

Dr. Kimberley McClure has been a dedicated member of the Department of Psychology at Western Illinois University for 28 years, consistently demonstrating a deep commitment to education, mentorship, and student success. She serves as Professor and Advisor for the Forensic Psychology Minor. Through decades of service, Dr. McClure has impacted countless students by fostering growth, encouraging curiosity, and creating a supportive learning environment.

Denim Day is recognized on the last Wednesday in April in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The campaign began after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court to overturn a r**e conviction because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who assaulted her remove them, thereby implying consent.
Because of Denim Day, we stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence and continue to raise awareness about the importance of consent, respect and accountability. What someone wears is never an invitation.
