Dr. Bennett represented the Delta Psi Chapter of Sigma Gamma Epsilon (National Honor Society for the Earth Sciences) at the annual Geodeland Rock, Mineral & Fossil Show in the University Union (the photo is courtesy of one of our current Geology majors who gave the show 2 thumbs up!). We sold minerals, old textbooks, and hardness kits to raise money for SGE and, as a public service, we gave away old sets of "Rocks and Minerals of Illinois" that the ISGS put together years ago. We gave the sets away to educators and, as you can see from the photos, they were very happy to receive the sets to use in their classrooms! The teachers are from Mercer Schools, Rushville, and Brown County.
