Heritage Ensemble at WIU Heritage Ensemble was established in the fall of 1979. Also, members gain benefits that are educational, cultural, and social.
Membership in the organization provides students with an opportunity to gain experience and skills in areas which include, but are not limited to: fundamental vocal training, diction, breathing techniques, phrasing, and choral directing , in the various forms of African and African American musical genres such as Gospel, Spirituals, Contemporary, Show Tunes, and anthems to name a few.
The N.A.A.C.P. W.I.U. Chapter in collaboration w/WIU Women's Center and WIRC-CAA Victim Services presents...DOMESTICE VIOLENCE AWARNENESS & PREVENTION. This Wednesday, Oct. 12th at 7pm in the Multicultural Center Board Room (2nd floor). Stop the Violence!!!

We had our first practice yesterday with 18 people 7 of which were new. If you are interested in joining our choir our next meeting is Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 5:00pm in the Multicultural Center Board Room. Hope to see more new faces.
