The last Chance: Building a Viable Future for Planet Earth: Environmental issues such as climate change are global priority that demand leadership, but there has been "a remarkable lack of urgency" in the response. The theme includes issues related with environment, increase in global temperatures and climate change and its effects on the planet. Basically, it targets to share innovative practices being used that have led to international efforts to achieve reductions of emissions of those gases from human activities.

Hi! I'm John, the one that Tami mentioned. My wife and I are "empty nesters". We have a boy (32) and a girl (28) who have lived on their own for at least several years now. I am pursuing a degree in General Studies at Western Illinois University. I like to learn about history, politics, economics, languages, and other cultures. My favorite subject is globalization. My hobby is school, really. We created this site as part of a two phase assignment for the class "Global Social Networks". We hope you find it helpful and interesting.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the leading international body for the assessment of climate change. It was established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of knowledge in climate change and its potential environmental and socio-economic impacts. The UN General Assembly endorsed the action by WMO and UNEP in jointly establishing the IPCC.
