Dahlia Lauer

Dahlia is 17 years old and is a senior at Macomb High School. She is planning to attend the University of Chicago this fall for an undecided major. Dahlia started taking ballet with PDC at the age of 6. She added jazz/lyrical in 2019, and pointe in 2022. She has loved dancing throughout the years. Her favorite part has been watching all the team dances at the team showcases each year.
Outside of dance, Dahlia has been involved in activities through school including theater, choir, violin and piano lessons, Interact club, Spanish Club, yearbook, and National Honor Society. Dahlia would like to thank her family, friends, and PDC teachers for always pushing her to be a better dancer and person.

💜SENIOR SPOTLIGHT💜

Julia Woell

Julia is a senior at Macomb High School and plans to attend Smith College in Northampton, MA! Outside of dance, she participates in theater, choir, piano, and various clubs at her school.

Julia joined dance only about five years ago, but she is very glad she started taking classes. Her favorite part of taking dance classes at PDC is witnessing the community of driven, hard-working dancers. She loves learning from her incredibly skilled teachers and classmates and she is sad to leave such a talented community of people.

💜SENIOR SPOTLIGHT💜

Darah McFadden

Darah is a graduated senior of Macomb High School. She will be a freshman at Smith College in MA next fall, majoring in government on a pre law track. Darah has been dancing with Project Dance Company for 13 years, since 2014 when they opened. She is so grateful to have had such a wonderful experience learning to dance, both on team and in rec. She’s loved doing so many amazing performances over the years and has felt so at home in this studio where she grew up. She would like to thank her teachers, Kimmie and Lauren, for always having faith in her and building her confidence, and also for working with her to make sure she could still dance despite conflicts with theater and other activities. She would also like to thank the Winders for being like a second family to her, Andrew and Delaney for being amazing buddies, and all the other dance families who have been there for her throughout the years (especially in the case of bun assistance; Thank you, Stephanie and Julie!) And finally, she thanks her two moms, Sandra and Jessica, for always supporting her in all her endeavors, and her sister Elanah, who has not only inspired her to keep dancing every time she felt insecure but has also aided her in improving her performance. She’s so thankful for all the amazing years, skills, and memories that she’ll carry with her forever.
