What a special surprise for our Summer Program kiddos! 🐶💜💛

We had a visit from Ray, the live mascot of Western Illinois University! The children loved meeting Ray, learning about him, and getting the chance to take pictures with such a special guest.

A huge thank you to Ray and his handler for taking the time to visit WCCDC and help make our day extra memorable. We appreciate the connection with our local university and the opportunity to create fun experiences for our students.

The students had so many great questions for me!

Just too let expecting parents know, if you have tried to get on the waitlist for Wesley Christian Child Development Center within the last month or so and was not able to finish the form, please try again. There was an issue with the form, and it had been fixed.

A couple weeks ago during Teacher Appreciation week, I was not at work Monday thru Wednesday. My adult children got a call that if they wanted to see their grandfather they better make the trip to Florida soon. So I asked my Assistant Director if she could cover for me while. I took those three days off so we could all go together.
I am so thankful for Cassy and the rest of the staff for taking care of things so that I could go with my children to see their grandpa one last time (at least on this side of Heaven). 19 hours down and 19 hours back.
And this is the office I came back to, the flowers were beautiful and there are still some balloons floating around my office.Thanks for all you do to make Wesley Christian Child Development Center such a great place to work, I truly appreciate you all! God bless you and keep you and give you peace.

Our daycare had an amazing time during Book Fair Week, celebrating the joy of reading and helping spark a lifelong love of books in our kids. A special highlight was welcoming Mayor Inman, who took time to read with our students and share in the excitement of storytelling.

Literacy matters—and it’s inspiring to see parents, teachers, and community members come together to support and invest in our youth. Thank you to everyone who made this week so meaningful! 💙
