Graduate options include both performance and composition. Our students who graduate have been accepted into some of the most elite jazz programs in the country, doctoral programs, after finishing an MM in Jazz, and some are teaching at the university level. Congratulations to the Spring 26 Western Illinois Jazz Band! Our spring concert last Friday was filled with challenging music taken from the standard and not so standard big band repertoire. This band really came together!!!! I was proud to share the stage with you!

There are still a few WIU Jazz events coming up! 4/24 WIU jazz band COFAC recital hall 7:30. 4/25 The Hopper Jazz’tet at the Wine Sellers 5:30.
