Once again, we had a great time meeting our WIU Alumni that have future WIU students attending Leatherneck Launch today!! We are so excited they are continuing the !!

Today, two proud WIU alumni returned to the Alumni House, reminiscing about their days on campus after graduating 50 years ago.

Thank you for coming back to celebrate your WIU journey and for being part of the generations of Leathernecks who make our university so special.

Even our newest visitors know the WIU Alumni House is a place to feel at home. A mom and her fawn took a moment to enjoy the campus scenery, reminding us that some of the best Western memories happen when you least expect them.

Although our Chicago Alumni and Friends golf outing was cut short due to rain after nine holes, we still enjoyed a great day reconnecting, sharing laughs, and making memories. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported WIU!

Orientation season is underway! We welcomed several WIU alumni back to campus today who were bringing their future students for today’s Leatherneck Launch. If you’re coming to a later session this summer, stop by our table for a free gift and to learn about WIU’s automatic scholarships for children and grandchildren of WIU graduates!

A big thank you to these three 1991 WIU graduates who stopped by the Alumni House today! Their girls' trip included a visit back to their alma mater, and it was wonderful to welcome them home. We loved hearing their memories and catching up. Enjoy the rest of your time together, ladies. We're so glad you stopped by! 💜💛

Thad Dohrn has been named the Western Illinois University Assistant Vice President for University Advancement/Chief University Advancement Officer, effective Tuesday, June 2. Dohrn brings more than 20 years of higher education fundraising experience to the position.

His leadership will play an important role in advancing opportunities for WIU students and strengthening alumni and donor engagement.
