Congratulations to Dr. Dinesh Ekanayake, recipient of the Spring 2026 CAS Outstanding Faculty Award in Scholarship!

Dr. Ekanayake is recognized for his influential work in geometric optimization, biomathematics, and medical applications, as well as for his dedication to mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.

A truly outstanding achievement—well deserved!

Today at WIU–Macomb, we celebrated the 12th Annual Graduate Research and Professional Conference—another outstanding showcase of scholarship in our community.

Our graduate students, mentored by Dr. Dinesh Ekanayake, presented their impressive work:
