Happy Last Day, Miss Miranda!

Miss Miranda has graduated and accepted a Preschool teaching position in Rushville.
We are very sad to see her go, but we look forward to seeing the amazing things she will do with her new class. The Shooting Stars got to help celebrate her with cookies and popsicles today.
Thank you Miss Miranda, for always being a smiling face in CAS halls, the last 4 1/2 years. We will all miss you!

Our Shooting Stars made tie-dye shirts today using water shooters! Their masterpieces spent most of the afternoon drying on the fences, and are now bagged in cubbies to take home.

Playground Remodel:
As some of you have already seen, we are working on our front playground remodel. Miss Sydni was able to apply for a grant, that we were then awarded the money to purchase the new large slide with.
We are excited for the change, and to get to watch the kids play outside in the nice weather!

The Rocket Room’s chick eggs are beginning to hatch! We are having so much fun watching and learning about their hatching process. A special thanks to Ag in the Classroom for making this possible for our Preschoolers.

Catch A Star Learning Center supports free books for children in McDonough County!

Do your friends need reliable, dependable school age childcare for all those cold weather no school, 2 hour late start, Federal holiday, and early dismissal SIP days? Give us a call to Register for our program now. You will also be guaranteed a place in our June Summer Camp!

On Friday, January 30th there will be an early dismissal for grades K-12 in order for our staff to have school improvement activities. Learning will occur onsite with students being dismissed at the following times, high school at 11:55 a.m., middle school at 12:00 p.m., Edison at 12:25 p.m., and Lincoln at 12:30 p.m. This is the reverse order from normal days. MacArthur Early Childhood Center will not hold morning or afternoon classes. There is no YMCA After School Program on SIP days and children that attend the program will need to have a different dismissal plan.
