Thank you so much to everyone who took time out of their day, to come eat lunch with their kids for our Family Day Luncheon! Lunch was served, crazy hair spray was sprayed, and the Planet & Rocket classes loved showing off their art from the Preschool Art Show!

Playground Remodel:
As some of you have already seen, we are working on our front playground remodel. Miss Sydni was able to apply for a grant, that we were then awarded the money to purchase the new large slide with.
We are excited for the change, and to get to watch the kids play outside in the nice weather!

The Rocket Room’s chick eggs are beginning to hatch! We are having so much fun watching and learning about their hatching process. A special thanks to Ag in the Classroom for making this possible for our Preschoolers.

Catch A Star Learning Center supports free books for children in McDonough County!

Do your friends need reliable, dependable school age childcare for all those cold weather no school, 2 hour late start, Federal holiday, and early dismissal SIP days? Give us a call to Register for our program now. You will also be guaranteed a place in our June Summer Camp!

On Friday, January 30th there will be an early dismissal for grades K-12 in order for our staff to have school improvement activities. Learning will occur onsite with students being dismissed at the following times, high school at 11:55 a.m., middle school at 12:00 p.m., Edison at 12:25 p.m., and Lincoln at 12:30 p.m. This is the reverse order from normal days. MacArthur Early Childhood Center will not hold morning or afternoon classes. There is no YMCA After School Program on SIP days and children that attend the program will need to have a different dismissal plan.

Two Hour public school late start?..NO PROBLEM for our Catch A Star families. Our school age kids had a relaxing morning and enjoyed Toast and Mixed Fruit for breakfast. Our parents went to work as usual and saved their Vacation time for sunny days!

School Age classrooms were having a pajama day. We surprised them with a trip to the theater to see The Spongebob Movie!
