Hi friends! It's time to highlight another lucky butterfly, the Thoas Swallowtail! These guys are some of our most active butterflies, constantly fluttering and feeding on our lantanas. Some of our friends in the South might see these beauties flying in their gardens, as the Thoas Swallowtail is native to the Southeastern US, throughout Central and South America. Hi friends! It's been a while since we highlighted this beautiful butterfly! This is the Indian Leaf Wing! This guy has many names, but the main identifiable trait with them is their underside! They look just like dead leaves, making them practically invisible to predators in the wild! This is a wild card that isn't on our ID sheet!
