RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
The goal of the Harlem School District page is to share important information about the District with our public and engage in an open and respectful dialogue. To help us accomplish this goal we ask that you abide by the following guidelines:

Open conversation not personal issues. Comments regarding a personal issue with the District, a school or staff member will be

removed. Be respectful. Personal attacks or comments that are deemed offensive to any member of our community will not be tolerated. Inappropriate remarks and profanity will be removed. Want to boost your product sales? Running for a political office? Publish a personal page, and leave ours for sharing news and insights about our District. Stay on topic. This is a page dedicated to the education of students in the HSD. Let’s keep the conversation related to our District. Comments of all kinds are welcome so long as they directly relate to our District. Have a question for a specific employee? Contact them privately. Fans should not expect responses to every question or comment posted on this page. Be aware of the mission. The mission of the Harlem School District is education. Please be certain that your comments are appropriate for an educational environment and fans of all ages. Be factual. Blatantly inaccurate information will not be allowed. False information will be removed and factual information will be posted. All comments and communication must come from a verifiable account. Comments made by individuals who are mis-representing themselves, representing themselves as someone other than themselves or from unverifiable accounts, will be removed. Employees of the Harlem School District may have personal pages. Don’t be surprised or offended if your request to “friend” them is ignored. This page is yours and we want you to feel comfortable sharing your views about HSD122. Just know, abuse of the above guidelines can lead to removal of a specific posting or the blocking/removal from our fan page. District Beliefs

🚨 Safety Starts With Knowing the Signs

As part of our commitment to student and staff safety, we’re sharing a quick guide to the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) door icons you may see during an emergency.

Understanding what these icons mean helps everyone respond quickly and appropriately when it matters most. Please take a moment to review the graphic and become familiar with the symbols used in our schools.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students, staff, and school community safe. 💙

Have you met Mango? 🥭
We’re excited to reintroduce a very special member of our school community—Mango, our therapy dog who works alongside our School Resource Officers!

Mango is here to help create a welcoming, supportive, and positive school environment. Whether Mango is offering a comforting presence, greeting students and staff, or simply bringing a little extra joy to the school day, this four-legged friend has an important job to do.

We’re so happy to have Mango back in our halls and look forward to all the smiles, wagging tails, and wonderful moments ahead! 🐶
