4-H is a volunteer delivered youth program. With the new 4-H year beginning, we are looking for volunteers to help with programming. We are currently looking for volunteers for shooting sports and equine.

Additionally, we are always looking for members of the community who have a passion that they would like to share with the next generation of leaders! Whether it is sewing, gardening, wood working, or even couponing, we can do a workshop and have you as a guest speaker.

For the protection of our members, all volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass an FBI Level 2 background screening.

4-H is open to all youth, ages 5-18, determined as of September 1 of the current 4-H program year and open to all counties in the State of Florida. 4-H serves youth from all backgrounds and interests. It reaches both boys and girls through 4-H clubs, special – interest groups and short – term projects, school-age childcare, individual and family learning and mentoring, camping, and school enrichment.

Our annual peanut butter challenge has begun! We're collecting donations of unopened, unexpired peanut butter to help raise awareness for and combat food insecurity and hunger in the state of Florida. Donations can be made at the UF IFAS Extension office, Ladybug Consignment Shoppe, The Ninth Hour Coffee Roasters, and Gibson McDonald, where all proceeds will be donated to local food banks to help local families. If you are a business and would like to accept donations for this cause, reach out to the UF IFAS Extension office, and we will give you a donation box that you can set up in your business!

The topic of our first meeting will be plants, and we will be planting seasonal veggies and herbs for kiddos to take home and raise.
