Today during art class students had fun using the print making technique to create a colorful art project!

Upper School was very excited to learn about chemical reactions.! A MRE (Meal, Ready-to-Eat) flameless ration heater uses an exothermic oxidation reaction. When water is added, a super-fine powder blend of magnesium metal, iron, and ordinary salt (sodium chloride) rapidly reacts to generate heat, steam, and harmless hydrogen gas without a flame.

Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade Guardians have been busy! Students learned how to identify ripe fruits and vegetables, explored how herbs season food, and harvested lots of garden goodies, including one GIANT cucumber!

Now it’s time to get the garden ready for fall with broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, spinach, and more!

Upper School welcomed Dr. Isiah Rolle, Neurologist and Neuroscientist to the classroom to speak on how the brain works when it comes to neurological issues. They were locked in with the presentation, and walked away with new knowledge and information on this topic. THANKS DR. ROLLE!🥼🩺🔬🧠🤓

Today, our Upper School Life Coaching teachers/Adult Advisors, and 6th–8th grade Peer Leaders participated in Children's Healthcare of ATL Strong4Life Sources of Strength training.

It was an inspiring day centered on resilience, connection, mentorship, and student leadership. Our team will continue meeting to plan and implement campaigns of hope, help, and strength throughout the SAE community and beyond!
