💪 12 Days - “We Always Figure It Out… Until Now.”
They said, “Oh, they’ll figure it out.”
Because that’s what educators do, right?
We stretch every penny to fill a classroom for a year with a single hundred-dollar bill.
We get Sally to eat green beans when her parents never could.
We potty train eight toddlers, some whose parents had nearly given up trying.
We teach patience, kindness, resilience, and hope.
We do the impossible every single day.
So when the state handed us the impossible, they assumed we’d take it in stride. That we’d quietly adapt. That we’d “figure it out,” like we always do.
But this time, they were wrong.
Because this isn’t about us.
It’s about them.
It’s about the children learning to share and count and sing.
It’s about the families working hard to build a better life.
It’s about the parents who trust us with the most important thing in their world.
We’re not fighting for ourselves.
We’re fighting for Arkansas families.
For stability. For access. For the future.
And we’re not backing down.
Child care isn’t a luxury. It’s the infrastructure that keeps Arkansas running.
When it cracks, families falter.
Businesses lose workers.
The economy slows.
Communities weaken.
We’re not asking for favors. We’re demanding foresight.
If our leaders can celebrate business growth, infrastructure investments, and workforce development then they must also care about the foundation that makes all of that possible.
Because without child care, none of it stands.
We’ve carried this state’s future on our backs long enough.
It’s time for the leaders of Arkansas to help carry it, too.
12 days left to do what’s right for our children, our families, our workforce, and our economy.
