Alright guys, this one’s important. You’ve probably seen posts from us and other small businesses about how tough things have been lately. Sometimes people see Texas Monthly Top 50 next to B4 and assume we’re slammed open to close. Unfortunately, we’re not.
Food costs are higher than ever, labor and overhead don’t stop, we’ve had weeks of 100+ degree heat, one location is a trailer, and neither location sits in a huge high-traffic town. After food, payroll and overhead, there hasn’t been anything left for us to bring home. We haven’t even been able to afford to do a weekly special lately. We only had 3 customers Friday night for dinner in rhome, and had to waste all the product we prepped.
We’re not saying that for sympathy. We’re saying it because we refuse to sit around waiting for things to get better.
We’ve added pizza, wings, burgers, steaks and dinners to bring in more business and offer items with better margins than traditional BBQ. Now we’re pushing hard into another avenue: CATERING.
Corporate lunches, weddings, parties, employee appreciation, church events, school events, jobsite lunches, family reunions—whatever you’ve got, we want to feed it.
BBQ is a volume business, and volume is what we need.
We have the smokers. We have the equipment. We have the team. We have the experience. We damn sure have the food.
We’ve intentionally kept B4 affordable because we want to serve our local communities, not price ourselves strictly as a destination restaurant because we made the Top 50. But Top 50 doesn’t make us immune to a tough economy.
So we’re going to keep swinging.
If your company buys lunch, give us a shot. Getting married? Let us feed the wedding. Having a party? Call us. Know someone who handles company lunches or events? Screenshot this and send it to them.
We’re not asking anyone to save B4. We’re asking for the opportunity to earn more business.
B4 BARBEQUE CATERING IS OPEN. Pick it up or let us bring it to you.
You bring the people. We’ll bring the BBQ. Let’s work.
