After mastering the solid form haircut, our students leveled up today with Workshop #2: the graduated form using diagonal back sections.

Each step builds on the last—strengthening technique, improving body positioning, and boosting confidence behind the chair 💇‍♂️💇‍♀️

A new chapter begins! 🙌
Phase 1 is in the books, and our students have officially entered Phase 2! Today they completed their first hands-on haircut workshop, focusing on the one-length (solid form/0°) haircut. Every technique they’ll learn builds from this foundation, and we’re excited to watch their confidence and skills grow one haircut at a time.

Today, a group of our students had the opportunity to tour The Barber Station @ Serenity! 💇‍♀️💇‍♂️💈✨

Experiences like these give our students a firsthand look at what it takes to build a successful career in the beauty and barbering industry. Seeing professionals at work, learning about the day to day operations, and hearing real-world advice is an invaluable part of their education.

A special thank you to David and Tessa for opening your doors, sharing your knowledge, and allowing our students to tour your amazing barber shop and salon. We truly appreciate your time, hospitality, and willingness to invest in the next generation of beauty professionals.

🎉 Congratulations, Laurie Lovett! 🎓✂️

Today we celebrate a huge milestone, Laurie has officially completed the Cosmetology Program at Summit Salon Academy Mabank!

From day one, Laurie showed determination, a willingness to learn, and the heart to keep pushing through every challenge. Watching her grow in both skill and confidence has been an incredible journey, and we couldn’t be more proud of everything she’s accomplished.

Now it’s on to her state board practical and we have no doubt she’ll do amazing things in this industry. We can’t wait to watch her build a career helping others look and feel their best.
