Well the first official week of the new school year is in the books. I would like to thank all our drivers who each day in this extreme heat transported our students to school and home. Thank you for rising above it all and proving why you are the best. Toombs County Transportation Rocks. Special shoutout to Robert and Johnny who worked tirelessly each day to make sure our buses were running with air, along with their other duties. Our shop personnel is the best. When you see one of these individuals give them a high five of appreciation.

🚨 TCMS FAMILIES — IMPORTANT MORNING DROP-OFF CHANGE! 🚨Begins Monday

Beginning Monday, August 17, TCMS will begin a NEW Morning Drop-Off Procedure to help improve traffic flow and reduce vehicles backing up on Bulldog Road.

🚗 If you drop off a student in the morning, please take a few minutes to review the NEW traffic flow map below before Monday.

We know any change takes a little time to get used to, so we appreciate everyone’s patience, cooperation, and attention to the new traffic pattern as we work to make morning arrival safer and more efficient for everyone.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: This change is for MORNING DROP-OFF ONLY. There are NO CHANGES to the afternoon car rider pick-up procedure.

Please share this information with anyone who may be responsible for dropping off your student in the mornings.

Athletes close out the Georgia Power 100, the final and maybe most fun category: the guys too good to be limited to one position.

Howard High School's Ta'Shawn Poole delivered the series' biggest headline, committing live on 247 Sports last Friday, choosing Florida State over Georgia and Tennessee as a four-star, the No. 4 safety in the country, and the first Power Four commitment in his school's history. Cartersville Hurricane Athletics's Madoxx Davis is a top-25 national junior and the program's second-highest-rated prospect ever, trailing only a guy who went No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft: Trevor Lawrence. Hampton High School's Kamarui Dorsey, a Texas A&M commit, put up 26 career touchdowns and eight interceptions as a do-everything threat for a program seeking its first-ever playoff win.

We loved starting the morning with the dedicated team in the Toombs County Schools Transportation Department! 🚍☀️

Our bus drivers play an important role in getting students to and from school safely each day, and we were honored to help treat them to breakfast as they prepare for another great school year.
