Fostering community among students in our classrooms is a key focus in the initial days and weeks of the academic year. This approach helps new students feel integrated into the class right from the start, prioritizing friendship and community, so that learning can begin on a strong foundation of belonging.

During the 'Meet the Teacher event', our fourth and fifth graders received puzzle pieces that they decorated with colors, images, and words representing their personalities and interests. On their first day of school, they collaborated to assemble these pieces into a class puzzle, symbolizing that each student holds significance and plays a unique role within the group this year.

We are incredibly grateful for educators who understand the importance of character and community alongside academics, and who actively promote friendship and connections within their classrooms.

We are praying over our students and parents as they spend time together over this holdiday weeekend and prepare to enter back into a school routine later this coming week.

Sometimes new things feel scary and hard, even when they are leading to something so good. New rhythms feel like they don't quite fit, and new routines still feel like so much to remember. But we trust that God has you here at Arrow for such a time as this, and He will give you all you need, so do not be afraid or discouraged, because He is right there with you!
