We thank you all for your enthusiastic participation in our liquidation sale. It has been so helpful to know that the wonderful supplies, materials, and equipment are finding good homes with you! We wish you many fulfilling hours of fiber craft and the satisfaction that it brings.

We will be having a final Sidewalk Sale this Saturday, May 27, to clear out our remaining display fixtures, sample garments and accessories, and class equipment. Please join us from 10am to 4pm for some great deals!

Thank you for your ongoing support as we prepare to say goodbye. I haven't had the time to reply to your messages, but I am reading them all, and it keeps me going.

Well, this is a very difficult announcement to make. Our attempts to find a new caretaker for The Weaving Works have not been fruitful, and we have come to the unhappy decision that it is time to close the shop.

I’m really sorry that it has turned out this way, and sorry for all of the disappointment and sadness that this news brings.

Having counted on The Weaving Works as a local institution for nearly 50 years, I know that this news will affect so many. But as I’ve said before, the weaving and fiber arts community is strong in the Pacific Northwest, and we can still focus our support and creative energy on other fiber arts shops and organizations in our area. There is no doubt that this void will be filled in due time, and I will see you all around!

The number-one most helpful thing you can do for us right now is to shop the final liquidation sale on our website. We very much want to get all of these things into the hands of makers before we close the doors. I won’t be restocking after today, but the shop is currently very full of all of your favorite yarns and fibers, plus books, tools, dyes, and small equipment.

Lots of items are already marked down, and you will want to shop sooner for the best selection. After the first week in April, a starting 10% discount will apply to everything, including those items already on sale. As stock levels decrease, the discount percentage will increase.

Now is the time to spend any unused gift certificates!

Curbside pickup will be available on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11am to 4pm, through the end of April. If these pickup times don’t work for you or you are not local, you can still choose to have your order shipped.

Even in this isolated storeroom, We have felt your love and support for the shop these past few years. Thank you for learning with us, thank you for hanging around for a chat, and thank you for sharing inspiration in all the ways that you do. We look forward to seeing you all at the guilds, at the shows, and every meetup where fibers abound.

Technical difficulties and snow, oh no! The shop has electricity, but no internet or phone right now, but I am here for curbside pickups from 11-4 as scheduled.

Gear up for Spooky Season in a make-and-take workshop with Mia! This quick class is all play, and all for fun, featuring pre-warped circular looms and lots of Halloween-themed, unconventional weaving materials. We are so charmed with all of Mia's samples, and can't wait to see what you all create!
