The program of study Jennifer has developed places equal emphasis on helping the student to acquire the basics of reading music, playing by ear, and theory. Vital to her concept of music instruction is that each class should remain entertaining, with students focusing on popular compositions that they enjoy, as well as learning classics, if they want. She knows that maintaining the initial enthusi

asm is key to keeping the student wanting to work hard and stick with it. Two recitals a year give the student a chance to perform for an audience, if they want.

Ella Rose came to me 7 years ago, as a voice student, and became my best piano student. She was in an award winning choir, in high school, and is always impressive in her work ethic to NAIL the piano parts. Vocal arrangements of pop songs, a song list of 48 pieces, and commitment to her own development have turned her from student to musician. I lose her to college this year, and she will be much missed.

Miles has only had lessons for 4 months and he’s already mastered Minuet in G, by Bach. The secret- he practices regularly! So proud of him.
