Tecumseh Drama Department

Drama department for all Tecumseh High and Middle School students.

Operating as usual

Our make up show has been rescheduled for Saturday, November 12 at 3 PM. Meal will be served at 2 PM. Doors will open at 1:30 PM.

We know that this date and time may not be ideal for all, but it’s the best we can do working around so many athletic and club schedules.

If you had tickets for last weekend’s show and would like to move your ticket to one of those days, please message Ms. McCleland with your information. If a refund is needed, please also message her about that. There are plenty of seats available!!!

Due to the power outage at the school today, tonight’s show is unfortunately cancelled. 🥺😢😭

Our department will notify everyone of the make up show once it’s been determined.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Every cast and crew member is feeling the way Trinity looks in this photo- sad.

We greatly appreciate of all your support! There are still plenty of seats available for next Saturday night’s show as well.

Pride and Prejudice has officially ended. This cast did not disappoint in their performances. Good luck to the 2021 seniors. THS Drama will miss you!

Photos from Tecumseh Drama Department's post 04/16/2021

Tonight’s spotlight is featuring senior Maxwell Wheeler. Pride and Prejudice marks Maxwell’s 4th production. In this production, he is playing the role of Mr. Bingley.

When thinking about his favorite moments from practice, Maxwell stated, “the best memories honestly come from the most unconventional situations.” The times that the auditorium is closed or occupied and practices have to be in cramped spaces, the cast has the “opportunities to make light of the situation even when we are making by progress on scenes.”

His favorite scenes are when Darcy and Elizabeth banter. “You can feel that they’re meant to be together but they argue a lot, so it creates a satisfactory feeling of discomfort that feels hard to achieve as an actor.”

What Maxwell wants all to know about this production is that “a lot of hard work has gone into this show. Between jobs, sports, family matter, and most of all the pandemic, this has become the hardest production for everyone and year everyone has preserved greatly. Therefore, I am so proud of EVERYONE involved in this production.”

Tonight’s performance is at 7 PM will very few seating available. 🎉🎟🎭

Tonight’s student spotlight is senior Re*****on Pfeffer. P&P marks Re*****on’s 9th production on the THS stage. He is playing the role of Mr. Darcy. His favorite scene is from Act II, which is mostly a flashback. Re*****on finds it “neat how it is done and it makes Elizabeth realize that Mr. Darcy is not a horrible man.”

Re*****on’s favorite memory is from the two practices before spring break when the cast was relocated due to the auditorium being shut down. Everyone goofed around and made up various lines, yet the scenes came along well.

Re*****on would like people to know that the cast and crew have worked really hard on this production this year. Due to COVID-19, last year’s production was canceled, so this is a great way to get out of the house for a few hours.

There are a few tickets still available for tomorrow’s show is at 7 PM. Both Saturday and Sunday performances are sold out!!

Photos from Tecumseh Drama Department's post 04/12/2021

Tonight’s spotlight is senior Emme Ashby!

Pride and Prejudice marks Emme’s 9th THS production. Emme is playing the leading lady, Elizabeth Bennet. Her favorite memories are the inside jokes and funny moments on stage. Her favorite scene is when Lizzy is arguing with Mr. Darcy.

When asked if there is anything Emme would like people to know or to encourage anyone to attend a performance, she remarked, “This production is special because it is the first spring show we are able to put on after lockdown last year. If you get the opportunity, please come see it.”

Performances are this weekend. Friday at 7 PM, Saturday at 7 PM (sold out), and Sunday at 2 PM.

Pride and Prejudice opens a week from today!! 🥳

🎟Tickets🎟 are still available for our Friday (4/16) and Sunday (4/18) shows. Saturday (4/17) is SOLD OUT! 🎉🎉🎉 Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students.

The department also has t-shirts for sale, $10 per shirt. 🎭

Contact Ms.McCleland to reserve your tickets or to order a shirt!

Our next student spotlight is sophomore Emma Stevens. Emma has been apart of 7 THS productions.

Emma plays the role of Mrs. Bennet in Pride & Prejudice. Her favorite scenes are any that consist of Mr. Collins “because his character is very weird and funny.”

When asked what her favorite memory or moment from practice has been, she remarked, “I love that anytime Max and Re*****on have to flirt with someone [during a scene] they get sad it can’t be towards each other.” Emma certainly knows practices aren’t boring when rehearsing with those two.

For anyone unsure about reserving tickets for our production, Emma wants you to know that “we have put a lot of work into this show and have tried to overcome the difficulties thrown at us during this wild time.” Another piece of encouragement from Emma for you to watch this show is due to our senior class. “We have a ton of amazing people graduating this year, and this is your last chance to see how amazing they are.” We all agree with Emma!

Come out and see this fabulous production on April 16-18, 2021. Contact Ms. McCleland at [email protected] to reserve your tickets today!
