Congratulations to Washington S.T.E.M. Elementary School!

This year, Washington partnered with Safe Routes to School to improve safety for students and families traveling to and from school. Through this partnership, the school secured grant funding for new safety signage, crosswalk improvements, and curb markings to support safer drop-off and pick-up procedures. Students also participated in educational programs focused on pedestrian and bicycle safety, including safe walking, biking, and street-crossing practices.

Thanks to its commitment to student safety, innovation, and community engagement, Washington S.T.E.M. was recently recognized at the Massachusetts State House by MassDOT and Safe Routes to School. Washington S.T.E.M. was selected as the **Northeast Region Exemplary Program Award Winner**.

We are proud of the students, staff, and community partners who helped make this achievement possible! 👏🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Washington’s Annual Teachers vs Students Basketball Game🏀 It was a close one, but the teachers pulled through with the win🏆Thanks to all our families & staff in the stands, our Cheerleaders routing us on and thanks to our favorite Ref, Principal Frye! See you all next year Wolfpack🏀🖤💛🐺

Thank you to Cambridge Savings Bank for joining our 1st graders for their “Teach Children to Save” Program💵 Students learned the importance of earning and saving money and went home with their very own piggy bank🏦
