"The hum of bees is the voice of the garden." "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man."

As the weather warms up the battle of getting hundreds of layers on your little one is replaced by the battle to put on sunscreen but the warmer weather does make playing outside easier!
✔️ Take stories outside
✔️ Lie back and see what shapes you can spot in the clouds
✔️ Plant some seeds together - bell peppers, herbs (basil, thyme, and rosemary), leafy greens, and sunflowers are good ones to start with if you haven't ever planted before. Experiment together what works and what doesn't!
✔️ Pop parcel tape on the wrong way round on your/your little one's wrist and let them decorate with fallen petals to create a nature bracelet
✔️ Have a picnic, this can even be in your garden. Why not invite some teddy bears?
✔️ Play garden center by using the seed packets that you have and set up a shop. You could fill the packets with grass etc
✔️ Build a den, out of sticks, old bed sheets, whatever you have!
✔️ Gather a load of fallen petals and see what art or shapes you can create
That should keep you going for a bit and why not follow us as we will be sharing more ideas for hedgehogs awareness week, World Bee Day and children's gardening week!?
Keep playing and exploring in nature 🐞
