Breed Middle School Spanish National Junior Honor Society
The students of the Spanish National Junior Honor Society and the students from Big Brother & Big Sister Program are participating in our College Mentorship Program every Tuesday after school.
This program is about much more than providing academic information. It is about helping our students develop strong self-esteem, a positive sense of identity, confidence, and the courage to set meaningful goals and pursue their dreams.
This month, we are exploring the topic “Fixed Mindset vs. Growth Mindset,” based on the work of psychologist Dr. Carol Dweck. Our students are learning that abilities can be developed through effort, perseverance, learning from mistakes, and embracing challenges.
We want them to understand that a difficult moment does not define their abilities or their future. We are not only preparing our students for college; we are helping them develop the mindset and confidence to believe in themselves, overcome obstacles, and fulfill their dreams.
