This SATURDAY (Oct 10th) at 10:30am:

'My Favorite Book" - Saturday Storytime & Book Giveaway!

Join us for this special Saturday Storytime where kids bring their favorite book from home and we read it to the group. Then they pick out a new book to take home and keep. (Don't worry, they get to keep the favorite book they brought from home too -- it's a book giveaway, not a book exchange!) A snack is also provided.

Open to families with kids of all ages, and from any town.

Co-sponsored by NEKCA Lyndonville Early Head Start.

Did you miss last week's deadline to use your Summer Reading Challenge prize voucher to get a free book? Good news! Kim from Green Mountain Books has generously offered to extend the deadline through this week, with this Saturday, Oct. 10th now being the final deadline. (Big thanks also to Passumpsic Bank, which donated $2,000 to cover the cost of these books!)

So if you have one of these prize vouchers stuck on your refrigerator, or somewhere else in the house, please don't miss your chance to reward all that summer reading with a free book. The prize voucher is good for one free book of your child's choice (up to $20 in value), new, used, or even special-ordered!

Green Mountain Books is open 10-6 every weekday, and 9-5 on Saturday.

We are proud to announce that the Cobleigh Public Library recently earned another grant! We received $3,000 from the Vermont Community Foundation 2026 Northeast Kingdom Fund in order to offer three special initiatives next year — specifically, another American Sign Language (ASL) class for kids, another full year of Chair Yoga, and a new program where caregivers can meet and talk while enjoying a yummy meal, which we hope to introduce sometime next spring or summer. Please email [email protected] if you would like to learn more about these great programs.
