September was so special 🍂 We’re settling into our groove - filled with tons of play, adventure, discovery, and learning together.
And what a beautiful time of year to be outside! We’ve been soaking in all the magic that comes with welcoming autumn here in the NEK 🍁

Another wonderful Burke Fall Foliage Festival in the books! 🍁 We loved seeing so many of our families out enjoying the parade and festivities. A big thank you to everyone who marched with us and to our parent volunteers who helped at our vendor table. We couldn’t do it without you! ❤️

Yesterday at Field, Farm and Forest we honored a very dear friend and local author, David Martin. Over the years David has touched many Field, Farm and Forest hearts with his children’s books and visits to our school. David has gifted so many children wonderful stories and literary experiences. In his honor, Miss Jess read from a collection of his stories and shared some songs on the Ukulele that David so generously gifted to her. We send out our deepest condolences to David’s family and friends. David’s work will continue to be shared with our community for many years to come.

Last night, we welcomed in our 2026/27 school families into our new home! 🏡✨
Of course, while the teachers were busy chatting and catching up with families… we completely forgot to take photos! 😂📸Must mean we were having far too much fun and soaking up the moment!
It was so special seeing the children already making new friends, exploring and enjoying our beautiful new space — and even getting caught in a quick rain shower! 🌧️
A huge thank you to everyone who came and helped make the evening so special. We are so excited and looking forward to a wonderful, fun-filled and exciting new school year ahead! ✨
