For more than three decades, Monica Warner was the warm, steady heart of Pre-K at St. Clare Church, St.
Clare School, and later Corpus Christi Academy.
Generations of St. Clare's littlest students took their very first
steps into a classroom under her care — and every single one of them was met with the same gentle patience, the same twinkling laugh, and the same unconditional love.
Life was not always easy for Monica, but no matter what burdens she carried, she carried them quietly and set them aside the moment a child walked through her door. She believed her classroom was holy ground, and she treated every boy and girl in it as one of God's own — worthy of kindness, worthy of patience, and worthy of joy.
Her smile was never for show; it was simply who she was.
Beyond the classroom, Monica poured that same devotion into her family — as a proud mother and grandmother who never missed a milestone, a loving daughter, and a faithful friend who showed up for every celebration and every sorrow alike. She found her greatest joy in the people she loved, whether that meant cradling a new grandchild, celebrating with lifelong friends, or simply sitting close with the people who
mattered most.
