Four weeks of intense work. Monday through Friday, 10am to 8pm. Some of you were surprised to see how hard the athletes worked and the improvement they achieved. They didn’t “die,” they made it. And they didn’t just make it, they improved!

None of it happens without you.

From the text messages to phone calls to registration to payment to drop offs to pick ups, you made it all happen. You proved beyond words that you believe in your athlete and their development. You trusted us with your athlete for four weeks of your summer. We highly appreciate your trust and your commitment to your athlete’s development. We do not take this lightly.

To every parent, guardian, and grandparent who showed up for Summer Camp 2026, thank you. You are the real MVPs of our program. Thank you for all your sacrifice and commitment. Thank you for showing up. Your athlete’s growth and improvement this summer are your investment paying off. Our weekly training program will be starting soon. You’re very welcome to join us!

Thank you for going the Extra Mile.

You showed up. Every session. Every clinic. Every drill. Every rep.

Some of you got outside your comfort zone for the first time this summer. Some of you found a level you didn’t know you had. Some of you had never sweated this much for each day for this long. Some of you made new friends and strengthened old ones. We can confidently say all of you got better. All of you improved.

Some of you learned the why behind the game for the first time. The quote of the day was intentional, meant to deposit in you a mindset and a framework that goes beyond the four lines. That’s what this was about. Not just skill work. Not just drills. Building something in you that stays long after the ball stops bouncing. Four weeks. Three age groups. One standard.

The standards were set and you strived to meet them all. Proud of each one of you! The work continues in a few weeks with our weekly training. Hope to see y’all soon!

The Gold Standards is what has made USA Basketball 143-6, the longest dominance in basketball since 1936.

Great group of young talents with great potential. We coached them hard because we believe in their dreams and abilities. Not all of them liked it, but we held them to the Gold Standards!

Of our coaches, they were hand-picked out over 300 applicants. The best of the best this nation has produced. Outstanding leadership! Excellent coaching across the board!

USA Basketball
Gold Camp Boys Grade 5-10
📍Pittsburgh, PA

Thank you USA Basketball Youth for the opportunity to learn and deliver. Thank you for trusting me.

Thank you Coach Show Don Showalter for pouring into me. I’ve always left our conversations and meetings challenged and encouraged!

To all my amazing colleagues, you are the best of the best and I can’t thank you enough. Great wealth of knowledge, experience and delivery. Took a lot of notes and was a great pleasure serving and learning with you all!

My Squad: Team 12

From right: Mason Khatiwala, Grayson Hall, Michael Battalini, Donovan Dunn, Devin McBride, Ivan Anderson, Deron Moon, Jacob Alphin, Troy Anderson, Coach James Ankra.

Gold Camp Impact Player: Deron Moon

The USA Basketball Gold Campers are handpicked from a pool of great talents. This award is highly significant to both coaches and campers cos it’s not an MVP but a player who impacts winning and the team.

Deron was outstanding with his work ethic. Our training was tough and intense. The standards were consistently high but he didn’t cut corners or give half-effort. He was not the strongest or tallest or fastest but he worked hard to be leading rebounder for our group. He is coachable - he didn’t just say “yes coach!”, he actually applied the corrections and instructions given.

Before our last game, he was the first to speak to the team and I saw the ripple effect of how each player spoke up after him, of how they want to play this game and things they need to do. The results? Our last was the best of the games we played.

That’s an Impact Player!

The Athletes Report Card is a treasure to keep and apply!

We evaluate every player and we put together an honest assessment of where they are, what they need in order move up to the next level and some encouragement and advice. We cover character and attitude, whole offense and whole defense.

Those who read and apply are guaranteed to be exceptionally great as a basketball player and a person!

From Snow Valley Basketball School Boys & Girls Camp to Extra Mile Summer Camp Week 3 & 4. Let’s goooooo!!!

A big shoutout to all the incredible clinicians of Snow Valley Basketball School. Both boys and girls camp had some incredible clinicians with high level training and experience.

For the girls camp, East Acc to be specific, one clinician stood out. Coach Mo Monique Boykins

The toughest clinics are the day 3 clinics, where fatigue and body aches usually seem to be at its peak cos of prior 25hrs of training and competition.

Coach Mo came in with passion and enthusiasm, changed the atmosphere with an engaging Rebound clinic. The campers competed, laughed, communicated and challenged each other with a fresh boost of energy and toughness I didn’t think they had.

At the coaches round table that evening, all the coaches unanimously agreed affirmatively, that Coach Mo’s Rebound clinic was indeed outstanding.

Thank you clinicians! Thank you Coach Mo for making your Rebound clinic a memorable one for both coaches and campers❣️
