Early Honors registation for the fall semester begins after midnight tonight for returning students! In other Honors news, we have accepted 120 new Honors students for the fall semester, and the 20 accepted from the March 1st application deadline had an average 34.5 ACT/1535 SAT.

November 1 was the (postmarked) deadline for early Honors applications: we received 63 total applications--16 for the spring semester and 47 for the fall semester.

Our LU Quiz Bowl team is funded by our Honors Program, and our team is almost entirely of Honors students.

LU Honors students will be registering for their spring semester classes two hours from now (the minute after midnight). May you get every Honors seminar that you want, and I hope to see some of you in Honors American Literature next spring!

Due to some recent declines, the Honors Program accepted 14 new students on scholarship last weekend and today! That brings us up to 190 new Honors students for the fall semester, including 31 National Merit Finalists (on a full academic scholarship) and 19 National Merit Commended students (on a full tuition scholarship). Acceptance phone calls and emails will go out Tuesday morning.
