Update from Save Sandusky:
**Update on the latest developments:**
Last night, the school board approved the school district’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) which includes renovating and expanding Sandusky along with other essential projects. The next step is for the plan to be submitted to the city manager, who will review it and decide which parts to include in the city's overall CIP.

This spring, the city council will vote on the finalized CIP, which will determine the future of these critical projects for our schools.

Parent-Teacher Conference day was 09/27 and the PTO was able to supply brunch for staff members that were on campus that day. Did you know that Kroger apparently bas really good chocolate milk and the staff really loved it?

We love being able to show up and support our staff in a large variety of ways.

Also it’s Book Fair time!!! You can setup a digital wallet for your kid to be able to shop, send cash, or shop with them on Thursday evening!

It's finally here! This week we have our Book Fair AND Literacy Night! Thursday night is your opportunity to come to the school, shop the Book Fair, eat and play reading games with your students. You can still RSVP! We are so excited to host you at our Reading Olympics!

Did you know that one of the things our PTO does (and several others in the LCS system) is provide a meal for staff members on Parent-Teacher Conference days? The staff at times might be scheduled throughout the day so remembering to bring something prepared from home can be difficult. Sometimes even getting a chance to heat up their food can seem impossible.

This is one way that we show our appreciation and help take a small piece of the load off the staff. Do you know any businesses that offer catering or that we can order food for 50-100 people for a decent price? Shoot us a message or comment below so we can try to work something out with them.

After an incredible 37 years of teaching, all of them spent shaping young minds at Sandusky Elementary, Mrs. Allen is stepping into a well-deserved retirement! 🎓🍎

Mrs. Allen has helped shape countless lives, leaving a lasting impact on students, families, and our community. Her dedication, passion, and commitment to education have truly been a gift to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

While we are sad to say goodbye, we know that Mrs. Allen has earned every bit of this next chapter. 🥳

Teacher Appreciation: at SES we try to make it an all year event. We didn’t get any pictures of the delivered food but here are screenshots from the order we provided for staff at Enrollment Day. Big shout out to Chick-fil-A at Candlers Crossing for handling our catering order. Can’t forget to mention the infamous Principal Womack punch that went perfectly with the food.

The staff LOVED it and felt so cared for especially on a day where they are giving so much to welcome all people who walk through their building. These are the moments we cherish and a big reason the PTO at SES exists.

Remember We do it BETTER, when we do it TOGETHER!
