This week, we recognize and thank the dedicated officers of the CVCC Campus Police Department during National Police Week. 💙🐾

Our campus police do far more than respond to emergencies. They help create a safe, supportive environment where students, faculty, staff, and visitors can learn, work, and grow with confidence. From assisting students in difficult moments to supporting campus events and building relationships throughout our community, their impact is felt every day.

This week, our officers are also shrouding their badges in remembrance of the law enforcement professionals who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Thank you for your professionalism, service, and commitment to keeping our campus community safe. We appreciate all that you do for CVCC and beyond.

‘Yes, you did’: Central Virginia Community College honors Class of 2026 At Central Virginia Community College’s 58th commencement ceremony on Saturday, Architectural Partners President Gary Harvey told the Class of 2026 in his commencement address to invest in themselves and others.

We’re still reeling from the fact that our 2026 Ridgecats walked the stage. We are so proud. 💙🐾

The issue appears to be vendor-related and the VCCS System Office ITS team is continuing to work with the vendor and monitor the situation.

At this time, no other systems are impacted. Users may still experience some disruption while the issue is being fully resolved.

CYBER SECURITY ADVISORY: Canvas is currently unavailable due to a potential security issue. This is a nationwide breach, and the VCCS and CVCC are closely monitoring the situation.

Students and employees should not attempt to access or use Canvas at this time and should not click any links or popups related to Canvas.

We are aware that the timing of this issue is not ideal with end-of-semester deadlines and encourage you to keep a close eye on updates from CVCC related to Canvas access.
