Her documentary “Maestra,” an audience award winner at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, follows five international competitors in the world’s only competition for female orchestra conductors. “It was at E. C. Glass where I first understood that a career in the entertainment industry was something achievable,” she said. “Because my teachers brought in LCS alumni to speak with students, I discovered that my dream job was a real job.”
Now based in California, Maggie will return to Lynchburg for a special “Maestra” screening and Q&A at the Academy Center of the Arts on Saturday at 4 p.m. 🎻🎥🍿
