Congratulations to the LU Formula Race Team!
The FSAE Formula race car international competition was held at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, MI from May 13-17.
120 formula teams arrived for the competition which included teams from the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Spain.
The categories of scorable events were Cost, Presentation, Design, Acceleration, Skid Pad, Autocross, and Efficiency.
Out of 120 teams competing in several various static and dynamic events, we placed 9th in cost, 29th in acceleration, 69th in skid pad, and 36th in autocross.
Rigorous static tech/safety inspections were performed to ensure driver safety and vehicle conformance to competition rules. We were successful in passing all static inspections.
The final official results have not been released yet. Preliminary tally of the scoring categories noted above have Liberty at 35th. Placing well into the top third of all teams present was a stellar achievement for a 3-year-old team.
Most importantly, and of eternal significance, was the Godly testimony and comradery evident in the team's interactions with other teams.
