We are small but mighty, faith-based ELC! Give us a call to learn more about our center. We offer classes for 16 months, 2, 3, and 4 year-olds.
Our team of teachers work together to create a fun, hands-on, positive learning enviorment while supporting all categories of each child’s developmental milestones. Infant Curriculum:
The Infants are learning all about their world each day. Our goal is to ensure that not only are children’s basic needs being met but they are meeting developmental milestones as well. We provide a developmentally ap
propriate environment in which the teachers take great care to have interactions that facilitate their development in all areas (cognitive, physical, social-emotional, and language). Much of our experiences with children in the Infant Area are rooted in providing opportunities for children to explore their environment and build trusting relationships. Responsive caregiving is the key component to setting up a safe and secure environment and trusting relationships. Everything that a child experiences in the classroom and outside on the playground/on walks is a learning opportunity. For example, language-singing gently to a child; showing gentle touches; letting the child know that this is not a hurried or rushed experience and that they are valued and precious individuals; gently moving their legs in a bicycle motion stimulating movement or having them reach and grasp for an object. Throughout the day, teachers will take advantage of these caregiving experiences that are so important in the early years of life and turn them into meaningful and positive experiences for a child’s healthy development. Christian Enhancement:
Marsh Memorial Early Learning Center strives to provide an early childhood education with a strong Christian foundation that will benefit the child, parent, church, and community. We use “visual” and “active” presentations of easy-to understand Bible stories and lessons. A brief chapel service, conducted by the Preschool Director, will be held in the sanctuary once a week.
