The Liberty University School of Nursing is hiring a Practicum Coordinator II for Nursing! 💙🩺

This position works independently to provide practicum and clinical placement support for the MSN, APRN, and DNP programs within the School of Nursing.

✨ In this role, you will:

*Assist students in securing practicum sites and preceptors

*Support practicum and clinical placements for graduate and doctoral nursing programs

*Work with students, preceptors, faculty, and University partners to ensure placement and contract requirements are met

*Verify preceptor credentials, licenses, and qualifications

*Assist with preceptor onboarding and compliance requirements

*Monitor student compliance with University, School of Nursing, and practicum site requirements

*Maintain clinical placement databases and generate student placement reports

*Track practicum hours and provide regular progress reports

*Support meetings and initiatives for graduate and doctoral nursing programs

📢 A New Day of Recognition is Coming to Nursing!

On June 14, 2026, the nursing profession will celebrate the inaugural Nurse Scientist Day, a new national day established by the National League for Nursing (NLN).

Why create a day specifically for nurse scientists?

While many recognition days celebrate nurses as a whole, Nurse Scientist Day honors the unique contributions of nurse scientists, professionals who bridge the gap between clinical practice and research. Their work generates the evidence that informs nursing practice, advances healthcare technology, shapes policy, improves patient outcomes, and educates future generations of nurses.

Nurse scientists play a critical role in ensuring that healthcare decisions are grounded in research and evidence, helping to strengthen the nursing profession and improve care worldwide.

As we look ahead to June 14, we invite you to join us in recognizing the nurse scientists, researchers, and scholars whose work continues to shape the future of nursing.

✨ Yesterday, we had the opportunity to gather for a staff lunch and celebrate the incredible people who help keep our nursing department running every day.

From supporting students and faculty to managing countless behind-the-scenes tasks, our staff members are an essential part of our team. Their hard work, dedication, and servant hearts make a lasting impact on our department, and we are so grateful for all they do.

We also had the joy of celebrating Sondra Reeves's birthday! 🎉 Thank you, Sondra, for all you do for our nursing family.

🎉 Today is the LAST day of Nurse Camp! 🩺

We are so excited for one more day of learning, hands-on experiences, and fun as our campers finish out an incredible week together. There are still exciting things to learn today, and we cannot wait to see all they accomplish!

It has been such a joy spending this week with these future healthcare leaders, and we are so thankful for the memories made along the way. We pray that as they leave Nurse Camp, they feel more confident, encouraged, and better prepared for what their next steps may look like as they explore a future in nursing.

Day 1 of Nurse Camp! 🩺✨

We are so excited to welcome these incredible high school students as they begin exploring what it means to pursue a career in nursing. Over the next few days, they’ll get a glimpse into the Liberty University School of Nursing experience from hands-on learning to discovering the heart behind compassionate patient care.

Our hope is that Nurse Camp gives these students a small taste of what it’s like to be a nursing student and inspires them to continue pursuing this meaningful and life-changing profession. Nursing is more than a career it is a calling to serve, care, and make a difference in the lives of others.

“Welcome home.”

These words carry deep meaning. “Welcome home” becomes more than a greeting, it is a reflection of gratitude, remembrance, and honor for those who served, including those who never had the chance to return.

This Memorial Day, the Liberty University School of Nursing pauses to honor the brave men and women who served our nation and gave the ultimate sacrifice. We remember those who never truly made it home, the families and loved ones who carry their memory, and the legacy of courage and selflessness left behind.

As future and current healthcare professionals called to care for others with compassion and humility, we are reminded that service often comes with sacrifice. Today, we reflect with grateful hearts on the freedoms secured through the courage of so many and commit to honoring their memory through lives of service to others.
