On Friday, Dr. Lance Hatfield hosted Jennifer Adamczyk, Area Director of Sales for the Paragon Hotel Company in his “Hospitality Sales and Promotion” class. She discussed the role of sales in revenue generation, how she prospects and nurtures relationships, her career path, and she gave recommendations for the professional development of the students. We are very grateful for the investment hospitality professionals make in our students!

Sport Management Master’s student, Austin Farr, had the opportunity to present research conducted by himself and classmate Glauber Bernardes Oliveira during LU’s Research Week. Their topic was “Examining the Difference in Engagement between Men’s and Women’s Instagram Accounts of the Same Sport”. Congratulations Austin and Glauber!

Our Hospitality Management students hosted this unique event where teams of School of Business students compete for prizes while addressing real-life concerns in Bedford County. This year's challenge addressed child-care needs in the county.

Students in Dr. Blosser's "Technology in Hospitality" course got a preview of the new dining hall this week. Thanks to Louis Cambeletta, VP of Auxiliary Services, for the great tour! Students learned about the unique spaces, equipment, and technology features that will benefit food service employees and enhance the student dining experience next fall. We can’t wait to see the finished product!
