Virginia students: today is the 2026-27 Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (VTAG) Category 2 application deadline!

If you are a new or returning student who did not receive VTAG during your previous year of enrollment, submit your application today, Sept. 15, to be considered for Category 2 funding.

Applications received after today’s deadline are not guaranteed funding, even if eligibility requirements are met.

The Fall C Financial Check-In deadline has been extended!

If you’re enrolled in Fall C subterm courses, you now have until 11:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 19, to complete Financial Check-In (FCI) before classes begin on Monday, Sept. 21.

Completing FCI by the deadline helps avoid having your courses dropped and being charged the $150 late fee.

Fall A, B, and J subterm aid disbursements begin processing today! If your account has an eligible credit balance and you selected the “refund my credit” option during Financial Check-In, refund processing is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept 18.

There’s a processing period between Liberty and BM Technologies, Inc. Changes to your student account, loans, attendance, or military benefits can affect the timing of both disbursements and refunds.

Today we remember the lives lost in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and honor the first responders, service members, families, and communities whose lives were forever changed.

Here in Lynchburg, the 9th Annual Field of Honor will hold its opening ceremony and 9/11 Memorial Service tonight, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. at 5 Millrace Dr.

The ceremony will feature keynote speaker LTG (Ret.) William G. “Jerry” Boykin, an original member of the U.S. Army’s Delta Force and former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. The Field of Honor is presented by the Rotary Club of Forest.

We invite members of the Liberty community to join us in remembering and honoring those whose lives and service continue to shape our nation.

Fall C online students: your Financial Check-In (FCI) deadline is Monday, Sept. 14, only a few days away!

FCI is the final step to confirm your enrollment, review your account, and make any needed payment arrangements for classes beginning Monday, Sept. 21. You still need to complete FCI even if your balance is $0.

Head to https://fci.liberty.edu/ and complete yours so you’re ready for the start of your courses.
