🎓 Introducing the Emerging Leader Scholarship

What if we could give some of our future leaders a seat at the table before they ever have the title?

The Lead on Fire Leadership Conference is a two-day leadership development experience bringing together professionals, business owners, healthcare leaders, and emerging leaders for meaningful conversations about how we lead — not only in our organizations, but in our lives.

Our 2027 theme is:

❤️‍🔥 LEAD WITH PURPOSE. LIVE IN PEACE.

And this year, I want to make sure the next generation of leaders is in the room with us.

We are introducing the Lead on Fire Emerging Leader Scholarship, which will provide conference scholarships to currently enrolled college students pursuing degrees in areas such as:

🎓 Nursing
🎓 Healthcare Administration
🎓 Health Sciences
🎓 Business & Leadership
🎓 Other related fields preparing them for leadership

But I don't want this to be something we do alone.

I'm inviting our local businesses and community organizations to help us invest in these emerging leaders.

Businesses and organizations that contribute will be recognized as 2027 Emerging Leader Scholarship Partners and acknowledged for helping provide this leadership development opportunity to deserving students.

Because your contribution isn't simply paying for a conference registration.

You're helping put an emerging leader in a room where they can learn from experienced leaders, make meaningful connections, expand their vision, and begin seeing what's possible for their own future.

For more than 25 years, I've had the privilege of teaching, mentoring, and encouraging healthcare professionals across Virginia and beyond.

Throughout that journey, I've watched incredible nurses, educators, administrators, and entrepreneurs pour so much into others that they often leave very little for themselves.

As I reflected on the conversations I was having in classrooms, coaching sessions, and at the Lead on Fire Leadership Conference, I realized God wasn't finished with the message. It needed to live beyond the classroom and beyond the conference. That's how Lead on Fire: Because You Were Never Meant to Lead on Empty was born.

This book isn't just about leadership. It's about learning to lead well while protecting the very things that allow us to serve others—our purpose, our peace, and our passion.

If you've ever attended a VACE class, invited me to teach, trusted me as a consultant, or allowed me to be part of your professional journey, thank you. You have encouraged me just as much as I hope I've encouraged you, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve you.

My prayer is that this book blesses leaders in healthcare and beyond, reminding us that leadership doesn't have to cost us our peace and that God never intended for us to lead on empty.
